A QUICK turnaround from listing to legal completion has seen Chapters Bistro in the Borders village of Gattonside near Melrose change hands.

The entire selling process for the 64-cover restaurant, which was put on the market at offers over £250,000, is said to have been completed in a 12-week period, which included an initial visit and pre-sale appraisal from licensed trade property agency Cornerstone Business Agents.
The business is said to have attracted “several potential buyers”, a spokesperson for Cornerstone said.
The property agency marketed Chapters as a business offering scope for growth through extended trading hours. Chapters Bistro was open six evenings per week under the previous owners.
A spokesperson for Cornerstone commented: “The business is well-renowned and popular, and has a strong clientele from the local area and the Borders region.”
