AN East Lothian bar and restaurant is staging a host of dog-friendly events and competitions to raise funds for the Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home (EDCH).
To celebrate its ‘dog-friendly’ status, the Mercat Grill in Whitecraig is hosting a number of activities, including a Facebook competition to find the ‘prettiest pooch in town’; a ‘doggy dinner’ on April 24, where customers can enjoy a two-course meal for £17.95 while dogs eat for free from the Mercat Grill’s doggy menu; and a coffee morning and fun day on Sunday April 25, which will include a dog agility competition.
The dog-friendly events will follow a packed programme of Easter events kicking off tomorrow (Friday April 3).
Mercat Grill manager Derek Dinse said: “We’ve got a great line up of events in April.”
