THE firm behind Highland whisky anCnoc has released a new limited edition expression of the single malt.
Bottled at a natural cask strength of 44.2% ABV, anCnoc 1975 Vintage has been matured in Spanish and American oak casks, said to give the liquid a spicy nose with notes of orange peel and green apple.
To taste, the whisky is said to be full-bodied with notes of fruit cake, sticky toffee and seasoned leather with a sweet finish.
Only 1590 bottles of the single malt are being released in black and silver packaging said to mirror the brand’s core range; the design features an illustration of anCnoc’s Knockdhu distillery.
Stephanie Bridge, assistant brand manager for anCnoc at Inver House Distillers, said the 1975 expression “has been anticipated for a number of years”.
“It’s distinctively anCnoc, a fantastic whisky and a superb addition to any whisky collection,” said Bridge.
