STONEGATE Pub Company has won a national trophy in recognition of its staff training.
The business, which operates more than 600 pubs and bars across the UK and employs over 12,000 people, scooped the Distinction in People Development award at the recent HR Distinction Awards in Birmingham.
The award recognises an organisation that has invested in developing its employees’ skills and knowledge.
Last year the company won the Innovative Use of Technology award at the event.
“We are in the hospitality business so for us, ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience in our pubs and bars is our primary aim,” said Stonegate HR director, Tim Painter.
“We couldn’t do that without great people, so investing in our people’s development, giving them a clear, achievable career structure, is of utmost importance.
“This award is not just for our HR team but for every single employee who works so hard to make our business the success it is.”
