THE Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has raised £4600 for children’s charity Aberlour.
The association announced its support for the charity at its annual conference in the summer, where Olympic rower and charity ambassador Katherine Grainger was the motivational speaker.
SWA president Asim Sarwar recently presented a cheque to Sarah Nicholson of the charity.
He said: “We are particularly impressed with the work of Aberlour and its commitment to caring for Scotland’s young people – we are delighted to make this presentation to such an important and long-established children’s charity.”
Aberlour helps more than 6000 vulnerable children, young people and their families each year.
Nicholson, who is senior fundraising executive at Aberlour, thanked the SWA membership “for their generosity and digging deep into their pockets”.
