SOFT drinks maker AG Barr has reminded licensees to stock up for Christmas as its festive Irn-Bru TV advertisement returns to screens.
The firm claims the animated Snowman advert, which airs from December, was seen by 80% of Scottish adults last year. This year it will be supported by a £1m marketing drive including PR, digital and social media activity.
Adrian Troy, head of marketing at AG Barr, said: “The arrival of Irn-Bru’s Christmas activity, in particular our iconic Snowman advert, marks the start of the Christmas season for many Scottish consumers.”
The marketing push will feature themed point of sale branding which AG Barr hopes will create demand and drive seasonal sales in the licensed trade.
Troy said the campaign brings with it “a festive feel good factor”. He added: “Outlets should stock up to make sure they’re part of this profit opportunity.”
