A GLASGOW restaurant manager has been named the Rising Star of The Year at a UK awards ceremony.
Amie Duncan of The Butchershop Bar & Grill won the title at the UK Restaurant Manager of the Year Awards in London last week.
She was also named first runner-up for the overall Restaurant Manager of the Year title.
Amie was the only Scottish manager to be recognised at the awards, which are run by the Academy of Food & Wine Service.
She said: “It means so much to be recognised by a UK trade body and to be the only manager in Scotland is a massive achievement.”
