LERWICK Brewery celebrated success at the tail-end of last month, with an awards commendation and a supermarket listing.
The Shetland-based brewer was highly commended at the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards for its 60° North lager and secured a listing with supermarket giant Tesco.
The lager will be joined by the brewery’s Skipper’s Ticket pale ale on Tesco shelves; initially it will be stocked in the supermarket’s Lerwick store, with the opportunity to be rolled out across Scotland in the future.
Graham Mercer, distribution manager at Lerwick Brewery, said: “Tesco has shown commitment, particularly in Shetland, to supporting local producers and we are keen to make this relationship as successful as we can so that we can grow our reach across Tesco’s stores,” he said.
