HEINEKEN’S leased pub division, Star Pubs & Bars, has extended its e-commerce site to enable lessees to access data specific to their pub online.

The Star Pubs & Bars Online site allows publicans to administer their accounts, invoices and statements online.
Operators can also order products, access business support and practical advice on everything from maximising income from food to launching accommodation. Other available information includes Brulines reports, gas and electricity safety certificates, insurance documents and details of any loans.
The site links directly to suppliers such as Sky and CPL, with whom Star Pubs & Bars has “preferential terms”, and allows publicans to make rent payments and track sales patterns on all tied products.
The e-commerce site was developed following a review of retail and pub industry sites and pub research. Star Pubs & Bars said a quarter of its lessees have started using the site since its launch six months ago.
Chris Jowsey, trading director at the pubco, said it will save time and revolutionise the way the firm does business with lessees.
“The e-commerce site is designed to provide the ultimate in convenience for lessees and offers a completely new way of working with us,” he said.
“As a people business, face-to-face and phone contact are fundamental to the way we work; however, in addition, lessees now have the option to undertake their business, access support and reference critical information specific to their pub at a time and in a manner that suits them.”
