Consultation casts eye on e-cigs indoors

THE Scottish Government has launched a consultation on the regulation of electronic cigarettes, including their use in enclosed public spaces.

The consultation invites members of the public and other interested parties to express their views on a number of measures to inform future legislation.
The use of e-cigarettes in public spaces is not currently covered by legislation, however a number of organisations, including pub giant JD Wetherspoon, have introduced bans.
Interested parties have until January 2, 2015 to respond to the paper, which is available at www.scotland.gov.uk
