THE firm behind Thai restaurant chain Chaophraya has opened a new restaurant in Aberdeen.

Thaikhun, meaning ‘your Thailand’, is a casual dining restaurant inspired by the food stalls of Bangkok.
It is the eleventh outlet to be launched by the Thai Leisure Group (TLG), which operates the Chaophraya restaurants in Glasgow and Edinburgh as well as restaurants in England.
The group was formed by Kim Kaewkraikhot and her partner Martin Stead ten years ago.
Kaewkraikhot said: “We are so happy to open in Aberdeen’s Union Square and be able to invite local diners to experience authentic, Thai eating just as you can on the streets of Bangkok.”
