RENOWNED chef Marco Pierre White is set to open a restaurant in Glasgow next month.

The Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill will be located on the ground floor of Hotel Indigo on the city’s Waterloo Street and will feature a private dining area.
Pierre White said the new restaurant, which is expected to open in late August, has “been a long time in the planning”.
“Glasgow has a vibrant dining scene and I look forward to offering Glaswegians a taste of something a little bit different; my recipe for ‘affordable glamour’ which is all about serving quality food at affordable prices,” he said.
“It isn’t about Michelin standard food, which for most is experienced as a one-off or for a very special occasion.
“The Steakhouse Bar & Grill will cater for different budgets with a very reasonable set-priced menu to our delicious steaks which will sit at the higher price range of the menu.”
Hotel Indigo GM Denis MacCann said: “We have a great dining scene in Glasgow and this new venture is only going to enhance what we offer.”
It will be Pierre White’s second restaurant north of the border; he launched Marco Pierre White Wheeler’s of St. James’s at the Aston Hotel in Dumfries in November last year.
