SCOTTISH gin producers fought off international competition to take the top two spots in the World’s Best Contemporary Gin category at this year’s World Gin Awards.
Darnley’s View Spiced Gin, from Wemyss Malts, took the gold award in the category, while Boë Superior Gin, from Stirling-based VC2 Brands, secured silver.
Graham Coull, director of VC2 Brands, which launched Boë in 2008, said: “To see Boë Superior Gin receive this accolade is a great day for our business and proves what we have always known – that Boë is a world class product capable of holding its own in the global drinks market.”
