LOBBYING group the Jacques Borel VAT Club is encouraging hospitality businesses across the UK to lower the price of food and drink for one day, in a repeat of last year’s ‘Tax Parity Day’ activity.
The initiative will see businesses lower prices on food and drink by 7.5% for a single day in order to demonstrate the value of a lower VAT rate.
This year renamed Tax Equality Day, the activity will take place on September 24.
