PUB company Star Pubs & Bars is trialling a mobile ordering app in 30 of its sites.

The Orderella app allows customers at trial sites to order food from their table and then have it delivered or receive a message when drinks are ready to be collected from the bar.
Payments are made through Orderella’s payment provider Paythru.
Dennis Collet, Orderella CEO, said the trial will enhance the experience of Star Pubs customers by helping them to avoid queuing.
“It also offers huge benefits to the operator, allowing them to give their customers a better level of service and increase staff efficiency,” said Collet.
Paul Daly, retail marketing manager for Star Pubs & Bars, said the firm aims to offer pub customers the best experience.
“By offering the latest app technology to our existing customers, we believe that we are further enhancing their experience as they will be able to spend more time socialising and less time queuing,” said Daly.
If the trial is successful the system will be rolled out to 1200 of the company’s pubs in the near future.
