THE shortlist for the 2014 Best Bar None Awards has been announced, with venues from across Scotland set to go head to head across ten categories on March 27.
Awards including best pub, independent bar, nightclub and best public health initiative will be presented at next week’s awards ceremony in Glasgow’s Radisson Blu hotel.
Mandy Haeburn-Little, of the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, the group behind Best Bar None, congratulated the shortlisted venues, saying that the scheme helps “cement new positive and constructive relationships” between operators, the licensing authority, police and the local community.
“The Best Bar None scheme is a great way to reward responsible licence holders and has been very successful this year with lots of interest from across Scotland,” she said.
