THE Kincraig Castle Hotel in Tomich, Ross-shire, has changed hands for an undisclosed sum.

The hotel – the former ancestral home of the clan Mackenzie – is now part of Nairn-based Grant Hotels Limited, which acquired it from Wickman Hotels Limited in a deal brokered by Colliers International.
Set in ten acres of private grounds, the hotel has 15 bedrooms and a range of restaurant, lounge and bar areas.
Planning consent was previously granted to convert the former steading buildings into additional accommodation and conference facilities.
Alistair Letham of selling agent Colliers International said the hotel has won a number of awards for its quality of product and service.
“The business has enjoyed year-on-year growth, boosted by the excellent commercial business centred on the Cromarty Firth area, which should offer further opportunities for growth in 2014 and beyond,” he said.
