ALEX Barlow has been appointed director of training and chief examiner at beer education firm The Beer Academy.
Barlow replaces George Philliskirk, who has retired after nine years with the organisation. Barlow’s previous roles include manager of Czech brewery Staropramen and brand manager at Coors.
Beer Academy director Simon Jackson said Barlow’s experience in the brewing industry makes him “uniquely qualified” for his new role.
