MISS Scotland Jamey Bowers ensured this year’s Homecoming celebrations got underway in style when she launched the official Homecoming 2014 beer.
Created by the Inveralmond Brewery, in partnership with Homecoming Scotland, the beer is available to the trade in craft keg, cask and 330ml bottle formats.
Inveralmond head brewer Ken Duncan described the beer as “an exuberant ale which displays berry sweetness on the palate and aromatic hoppiness”.
Orders of the limited edition beer have already been shipped to Italy and Sweden, and it is also expected to be exported to Australia, New Zealand and the US.
“Opportunities like Homecoming Scotland 2014 give homegrown Scottish companies genuine prominence on an international stage and we’re very proud to know that our beer will be showcased as one of Scotland’s premium export products at major events across the country,” said Inveralmond managing director Fergus Clark.
