Mull over festive wine range

A NEW mulled wine has been launched in the on-trade by drinks importer and producer CWF.

The Mulled Wine, which has an ABV of 10%, is said to offer a quick and simple solution for bar and restaurant operators seeking to introduce a winter wine offer for the busy festive trading period.
CWF said its mulled wine is bottled ready to heat up and serve, meaning there’s no need to steep flavours and spices in red wine for “lengthy periods of time”; it can also be served cold.
Julie Ingham, marketing manager at CWF, said operators who add the Mulled Wine to their winter drinks range can boost sales and profits by promoting it alongside a festive menu or as an alternative alcoholic drink at the bar.
“The festive season is a very busy time for bar and restaurant owners,” she said.
“They are constantly on the look out for simple ways to add incremental sales and our Mulled Wine meets these requirements.
“Perfect for black board specials and simple to prepare and serve – an easy way to provide customers with a bit of festive cheer this autumn.”
