Comedian Kevin Bridges raised the roof at Glasgow’s Hilton Hotel last night as he handed out the gongs at the 18th SLTN Awards.
Aberdeen entrepreneur Stuart Clarkson was the big winner of the evening, taking the SLTN Award for Industry Achievement.
The founder of bar group PBDevco, Clarkson has been involved with the licensed trade for nearly 30 years, successfully building an estate that now includes bars, pubs, restaurants, a nightclub and a casino.
Clarkson wasn’t the only individual awarded on the night, however. Steve Graham, founder of Renfrewshire-based Manorview Hotels, was also singled out for recognition, taking the title of SLTN Entrepreneur of the Year.
This year saw awards presented to 23 of the country’s best pubs, clubs, restaurants, staff and operators before an audience of 700 at the five-star Hilton hotel.
SLTN editor Gillian McKenzie said: “Huge congratulation to all of our winners, who have proved beyond doubt that Scotland’s bars, pubs and restaurants can rival any in the UK and beyond.”
