Comedy headgear and cocktails part of festive activity
THE firm behind WKD will wish the on-trade a ‘Merry Christ-Moose’ as part of a new festive promotion.
The activity, which gives pub customers the chance to win special ‘moose-head’ hats, will launch tomorrow (November 1), supported by a range of point of sale materials including posters, mobiles, ‘wobblers’ and signs.
Operators will be provided with recipe ideas and POS materials.
Operators will also be provided with six cocktail recipe ideas along with point of sale materials for Christmas-themed WKD cocktail pitchers.
Each drink in the range will feature its own WKD variant, mixed with either port, a spirit or liqueur as well as mixers.
Debs Carter, marketing director for WKD, said the festive season is a time that consumers “want to reward themselves”.
“WKD is all about sharing good times with friends and always adds some extra fun to proceedings so it’s a consistently big seller over the festive period,” she said.
“Licensees should use the party season as a key time to up-sell, and pitchers of festive WKD cocktails are a great way to do this.
“WKD has a very humorous approach and certainly doesn’t take itself too seriously and our impactful festive ‘Christ-Moose’ hat offer will create a real in-outlet buzz this Christmas.”
The ‘Christ-Moose’ campaign is the latest in a series of seasonal cocktail promotions for WKD, which have included Halloween ‘cocktail cauldrons’.
