A HOTEL in the Highland village of Plockton which has been closed for two years is set to reopen after it was bought by Caithness-based Pentland Properties Limited.

The firm plans to revamp the 15-bedroom Haven Hotel, which ceased trading in autumn 2011, and relaunch it as leisure accommodation.
“The sale of the Haven Hotel attracted a lot of interest from overseas and locally with prospective purchasers recognising the attraction and draw of Plockton and the potential appeal of the Haven Hotel,” said Alistair Letham of Colliers International, which handled the sale on behalf of Royal Bank of Scotland.
