HEINEKEN celebrated the opening of the SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow late last month as the official supplier of beer and cider for the venue.

The brewer secured a contract from Scottish Exhibition Centre Ltd to supply the venue for the next five years.
Heineken will provide the arena with nine Foster’s branded bars, which will serve draught and packaged products from the Heineken range including Foster’s, Heineken, Amstel, Strongbow and Bulmers.
Neil Convery of Heineken said the deal, “will allow us to showcase best-in-class brand activation and the superb opportunity it offers for customer hospitality will significantly enhance our engagement with the trade”.
“With more than one million visitors expected per year, the new SSE Hydro Arena will provide outstanding prestige and exposure for our business and our brands,” he said.
The Hydro arena is expected to host around 140 events each year and has been named as a venue for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
