Festival set to spice up Perthshire

TEMPERATURES are set to rise at Scone Palace this weekend when the venue hosts what is claimed to be Scotland’s first Chilli Festival.

Running this Saturday and Sunday, the event will feature a range of ‘chilli-themed’ food and drink products, including chilli burgers from local supplier Perthshire Farmers & Producers and chilli-based recipes from Graeme Pallister, head chef at Perth restaurant 63 Tay Street.
“This summer has seen a proliferation of chilli festivals springing up across the UK, but we are delighted to be hosting the first ever in Scotland,” said palace administrator Elspeth Bruce.
“Chillis are definitely the new hot ingredient, with amazing colours and health benefits.”
The festival will open between 10am and 5pm.
