A FAMILY-owned firm in Perthshire has become one of only two Scottish companies to be named an ‘approved supplier’ by the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA).
Summer Harvest Oils, founded in 2008, is based at Ferneyfold Farm near Crieff and is owned and operated by Mark and Maggie Bush. It is now said to be the only SRA-approved producer of cold-pressed rapeseed oil in the UK.
“We are absolutely delighted the SRA have recognised all the hard work and commitment the team at Summer Harvest have invested in producing what we believe to be one of the finest cooking ingredients in the world, made in Scotland with sustainability and environmental concerns at the heart of the process,” said Mark.
“Our family has maintained the land at Ferneyfold for over 130 years and we wish to keep it in the best possible condition for future generations.”
