Brand has students in its sights

READY to drink brand WKD is the focus of a fresh burst of on-trade promotional activity designed to target students ahead of the new university term.

As part of the campaign, students will get the chance to win flashing LED ‘shutter-shades’ through an in-outlet scratchcard promotion.
Participating venues will also receive point of sale material and a range of “academically themed” cocktail jug recipes, including WKD With Hons (WKD Iron Brew, Captain Morgan’s and lemonade), WKD Grad-U-Like (WKD Orange, Apple Sourz and lemonade) and WKD ‘Study’ Break (WKD Red, Archers, Malibu and lemonade).
“WKD has a suitably humorous approach and doesn’t take itself too seriously, and our in-outlet activities always appeal strongly to students,” said Debs Carter, marketing director for WKD at SHS Drinks.
