Family takes Aberdeen bar

The Glentanar has changed hands.

A FATHER and son partnership has snapped up an Aberdeen city centre bar.

The Glentanar Bar was bought by Mike Taylor, who also owns the Inn at the Park in Aberdeen, and his father Mike senior from an asking price of £300,000 in a deal brokered by Christie & Co.
The property agent’s Ken Sims, who handled the sale, said the new owners plan to refurbish the bar.
“The sale of the Glentanar Bar has shown yet again, even in the current market, that there is a strong demand for freehold pubs in Aberdeen,” he said.
“It is certainly positive news that there is a demand for licensed businesses in Aberdeen.”
