MEXICAN lager brand Sol has been given a makeover in time for summer.
The new-look 330ml bottle has an embossed design, which is intended to reflect Sol’s Mexican heritage, and the label features the words ‘Espiritu Libre desde 1899’ (‘free spirit since 1899’). The launch of the new look bottle will be backed by on-trade point of sale material and promotional activity.
“The growing demand for world beers that offer easy-drinking refreshment has made Sol one of the UK on-trade’s fastest-growing premium lagers, where the brand has grown year-on-year distribution by 21%,” said Jacco van der Linden, marketing director at Heineken.
