HOTELS and restaurants in remote Scottish areas are to have access to wine training courses in their own premises thanks to a Highland-based marketing consultant.
Diana Thompson, who runs a PR company specialising in the hospitality industry, has secured accreditation to provide the Level 1 in Wines course from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
Thompson is now offering the training course to businesses across Scotland, and is planning to be accredited for the Level 2 course by September.
The marketer said that from her base in Strathcarron, Ross-shire, she is ideally positioned to reach businesses in some of Scotland’s more remote locations.
