OVERPROVISION and operating hours are two key issues raised by licensing boards as they begin to review their policy statements.
Licensing boards in Moray, North Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway are among the first to launch consultations on their licensing policy statements. Boards are currently required to review the statements every three years under the licensing Act.
Other boards across Scotland are expected to launch consultations on their licensing policy statements in the coming weeks.
The new statements are expected to be in place by November 30.
