Wetherspoon in pint price pledge

JD WETHERSPOON has cut the price of a pint of Ruddles Bitter and Greene King IPA to a maximum of £1.99 in all of its 870 pubs, apart from airport and central London outlets.

The price will be cut by 5p in its pubs which already serve the two beers at £1.99 or less.
Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said the price reductions are a result of the chancellor’s decision to cut beer duty and scrap the escalator in last month’s Budget.
