Wetherspoon in pint price pledge

JD WETHERSPOON has cut the price of a pint of Ruddles Bitter and Greene King IPA to a maximum of ÂŁ1.99 in all of its 870 pubs, apart from airport and central London outlets.

The price will be cut by 5p in its pubs which already serve the two beers at ÂŁ1.99 or less.
Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said the price reductions are a result of the chancellor’s decision to cut beer duty and scrap the escalator in last month’s Budget.
