Kenmore’s charity windfall

FOUR Perthshire charities are looking forward to a winter windfall thanks to a fund-raising night at the Kenmore Hotel.

Over 100 guests attended the Salmon Season Opening Dinner and charity auction in January, raising over £92,000.
The impressive sum takes the total raised by the hotel over the last ten years past the £1 million pound mark.
Steven McLeod, chief executive of the Aurora Hotel Collection, which manages the property, said: “We were fortunate to secure a number of ‘money can’t buy’ prizes from around the globe and this, along with the generosity of our fantastic guests, ensured a bumper result in the charity auction.
“We’re delighted that our dinner to mark the start of the salmon season has become such an established event in the area, but even more proud that we’ve managed to raise over £1m for charity in the last ten years – that’s a real achievement for such a small, local hotel like this.”
Funds will be donated to four charities: CHAS, Sarah’s Promise, the Nicola Murray Foundation and Angling For Youth Development.
