FIRST Choice Catering Spares is launching an automatic, low-cost chemical-free biological system from Environmental Biotech, known as GreaseBlast, at this year’s ScotHot exhibition taking place at the SECC from March 4 to 6.
GreaseBlast’s army of non-toxic vegetative micro-organisms are automatically dispensed into the drain line through a wall-mounted dosing system where they start consuming the fat, turning it into water and carbon dioxide. The natural process, known as bioremediation, permanently stops fats, grease and oils from building up in drain lines and grease traps. The results are said to be “outstanding” while reducing the number of plumbing problems.
