SCOTTISH Licensed Trade News is to have a new editor – for only the fifth time since the paper was established in 1964.
Gillian McKenzie, who joined the publication as a reporter in 2004, rising to become deputy editor in 2006, will take the reins on Monday February 18.
Current editor Scott Wright, who has held the post since April 2005, having joined as a reporter in 2001, is leaving to join the business desk at The Herald.
“I’m delighted to have been given the chance to lead SLTN during such an important time for the industry,” Gillian said.
“The Scottish trade remains one of the country’s most important and dynamic sectors, and I’m looking forward to continuing to highlight the major developments and the key concerns of operators in the months and years ahead.”
Outgoing editor Scott Wright: “It’s been a great privilege to have edited SLTN and I hope to keep in touch with the many friends I have made while doing the job these past few years. I wish Gillian, advertising manager Lucie Cooney and the rest of the team the very best of luck for the future.”
