Food and drink body looks to the future

SCOTLAND Food and Drink has appointed a new project manager to help producers cash in on events like the Commonwealth Games, Ryder Cup and Homecoming in 2014.

Fiona Richmond has taken up the role after two years working on the supplier body’s UK market development programme.
“Work to deepen relationships with the foodservice sector is already well underway and we will be working with the event organisers to ensure we capitalise on the chance to promote Scotland’s larder on a world stage,” said Richmond. “But beyond working with the major venues and event organisers themselves, we want to discuss with industry how best to develop other peripheral activity to showcase our produce during 2014.”
