THE owner of a Dumfriesshire hotel has decided to pass the Buck after 14 years in charge.
Property agent Cornerstone is marketing the Buck Hotel in Langholm on behalf of the current owner Norman Gormley, who plans to retire.
Located on the town’s High Street, the Buck Hotel has a public bar, lounge bar/function space and three currently unused letting bedrooms.
“The Buck Hotel is a wet sales-driven business which, despite the current difficulties in the licensed trade, is continuing to trade profitably,” said Cornerstone director Gordon Mair.
“Although from the front the Buck looks like a small traditional inn, there are substantial outbuildings and a courtyard to the rear where there is also an outside bar, which is very popular during the common riding week, and garaging, which has potential for development.”
The hotel has a guide price of ÂŁ270,000 for the freehold.
