Blythswood takes business award

GLASGOW hotel Blythswood Square and daily deals website Itison were among the winners at the recent Glasgow Business Awards.

The Blythswood, which opened its doors in 2009, won the award for Best Inward Investment, while Itison, which was set up by Glasgow entrepreneur Oli Norman, was named Best Performing Business (over 25 employees). Other winners included the Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT), which scooped the Creative Marketing award, and directory website Find Me Glasgow, which was named Best Employer of a Student or Graduate at the awards, which are organised by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Blythswood Square managing director Hans Rissman said the award win was “fantastic” for the hotel.
“It proves how quickly the hotel has become established for locals and visitors to the city alike,” he said. “Since the day we first opened our doors we have been welcomed to Glasgow by our neighbours, the industry and customers alike.”
