A new initiative from the Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) will look to nurture emerging talent in the Scottish wholesale industry.
The Scottish Wholesale Association Mentoring and Training Trust will see a raft of new training courses introduced by the organisation, which are being developed in conjunction with consultancy 121 HR Solutions. Anyone undertaking a course will be assigned a mentor to support them through the training, but mentoring will also be offered as a stand alone service for up and coming industry talent.
Interested employees will have to secure an endorsement from a manager and then apply to the SWA.
“Investing in our people builds trust and helps achieve better results, and we need the right people with the right attitude and the right skills to create a truly world-class industry in order to remain ahead of the game,” said SWA president George Benson.
Industry executives interested in becoming mentors should contact SWA executive director Kate Salmon on 0131 556 8753.
