A FAMILY-owned Ayrshire hotel has unveiled a new restaurant as part of a major refurbishment programme.
The Orangery is part of a wider regeneration project at Seamill Hydro backed by a new ÂŁ3 million refinancing agreement with Santander Corporate Banking, which was brokered by Christie Finance.
The new 150-capacity restaurant and bar offers views across the hotel grounds and Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig. It’s the latest development at the hotel to be undertaken by the Sweeney family, who have expanded the business from a 94-bedroom hotel to a 94 bedroom resort since they took ownership in 1985.
“We are proud of our achievements to date in transforming the hotel, but realise there is much more that can be done,” said co-owner Sylvester Sweeney.
“Working with Santander has been a very positive experience for us and we hope to continue our working relationship with them in the future. Christie Finance has put in place a truly competitive facility which fully meets the needs of our business.”
