Tapping into Olympic fever

SOFT drinks brand Fruit Passion is tapping into what it says is the patriotic fever building up to the Olympic Games and Diamond Jubilee with the launch of what it describes as a ‘truly British’ juice range.

The new range consists of three flavours (apple and blackberry, apple and blackcurrant and apple and raspberry) with all three produced from British fruit and blended in Somerset. The brand has pledged to use only apples from Debenham, blackcurrants from Hertfordshire and blackberries and raspberries from Norfolk.
“We created this new range using fruit from growers we have known for a long time,” said Marnie Millard, commercial director for parent company Gerber Juice Company.
“We chose them because they grow Britain’s finest fruit. The flavours stimulate the senses and evoke memories and will be perfect for the year ahead as we celebrate the best of Britain.”
The new range was launched into Tesco and Sainsbury’s stores last month, priced £2.49 each, with further listings expected in the coming months.
