BRITISH Waterways has bought the building that’s home to the Boathouse in Auchinstarry Marina near Kilsyth, which is operated under a long lease by Townhouse Restaurants Ltd.
The investment interest in the property, which has a 150-cover bar and restaurant and ten letting bedrooms, was acquired by British Waterways for £1.3 million after the Waterside Pub Partnership – its joint venture with S&NPC – went into administration last April.
Colliers International’s Paul Shiells said the venue has a “great local following”.
