Lower costs in the bag

A NEW ‘bag-in-keg’ system will provide a valuable resource for brewers looking to expand across the country, according to its UK distributor.

The reusable kegs each contain a disposable bag, eliminating the need for them to be washed after use and gas is not required for dispensing, as compressed air can be used to fill the space between the bag and the keg.
“This new keg innovation is a very exciting concept, especially for British breweries wishing to expand within the UK market,” said Glen Dack, managing director of Draught Beer Online, the UK distributor of the kegs.
“We have been selling KeyKegs for some time, but they are totally disposable one-way kegs, more suited to exporting beverages abroad.”
30l kegs are available now, with 18 and 11l kegs on stream from April.
