ONE of the most northerly bars in the UK is up for sale.
Christie & Co is marketing the Hilltop Bar on Yell – the second largest of the Shetland Islands.
Located in Mid Yell, the Hilltop Bar is described as a “well-presented” business that’s said to be trading profitably from a “steady” turnover. The property has a public bar and a restaurant and trades seven days a week.
Christie & Co’s Barry McNeil, who is selling the business on behalf of the Jamieson family, said Mid Yell’s amenities include a high school, leisure centre, doctor and dentist surgeries as well as a new junior school and nursery.
“For prospective purchasers who are looking to get away from it all and completely escape the rat race, there can be no more suitable business on the market at the moment than Hilltop Bar in Mid Yell,” he said.
Hilltop Bar is on the market for offers over £160,000.
