Wigtown hours policy reviewed

WIGTOWN’s licensing board will meet on January 27th to assess the impact of its decision to cut weekend trading hours.

Operators in Newton Stewart say trade has been hammered since opening hours were cut from 2am to 1am on Friday and Saturday nights in all areas apart from Stranraer last May.
An impact assessment, carried out since the consultation on the revised policy ended on January 9, will be considered by the board.
