DRINKS dispense company Innserve is on a mission to find the country’s top cellars.
And it’s being helped along the way by Rupert Lovebeer – a fictional character created to evoke a bygone era when the only place to drink quality beer was in a pub.
The Innserve Best Cellar Awards aim to recognise exceptional cellar and business practices and what the firm says is the unseen work, skill and commitment that goes into serving world beer.
Innserve, which is said to have dispense systems in 70,000 of the UK’s 132,000 licensed premises, is putting six prizes up for grabs: three nationwide prizes of £1000 for best cellar and three of £1000 for best newcomer.
Cellars will be judged on a range of criteria, including cellar management, line cleaning, glassware and staff training; the closing date for entries is May 5, 2012.
