NEW owners are sought for a licensed cafe in Ayr for the first time in almost 60 years.

Located on Sandgate in the town centre, The Savoy was established in 1953 and has been owned by the same family ever since.
The 60-cover cafe is said to be “extremely well-established”, with an “enviable” reputation for its home-cooked food and service.
“I am delighted to be handling the sale of The Savoy cafe, which is something of an institution in the Ayrshire area,” said Christie & Co associate director Jonathan Clough, who is handling the sale.
“The business has a regular customer base of locals, office workers and shoppers, which is supplemented by the high volume of tourists and day-trippers who visit Ayr, particularly in the summer months.
“The popularity of the business is reflected in the business’s healthy turnover and profits. However, The Savoy is currently run mainly under management so there is potential to increase trade further with a more hands-on owner/operator.”
Offers over £60,000 are sought for the leasehold.
