GLAYVA, the whisky liqueur owned by Whyte & Mackay, is looking to attract new consumers in the approach to Christmas with the launch of limited edition ‘stocking filler’ bottles.
The 50cl bottles, priced £19.99 each, were released at the end of October through whisky website whiskyshop.com.
Just 150 of the bottles have been produced, each bearing one of three messages: ‘you’re the best in the world’, ‘you’re the best Mum in the world’ or ‘you’re the best Dad in the world’.
“Our limited edition bottles are fun and we expect them to be really well received,” said Alexis Ovenstone, global marketing manager at Glayva.
“Everyone thinks that their own mum, dad, friends, partner – whoever is most special to them – is the ‘best in the world’.
“By choosing Glayva, they can pay the ultimate compliment with their Christmas gift.”
The release of the bottles came after a month-long marketing campaign for Glayva that saw money-off vouchers appear in a number of national newspapers and retail websites.
The vouchers also promoted different Glayva serves, including mixing the liqueur with apple juice or a splash of ginger ale.
