THE wine division of Diageo has created a new customer marketing role.
Jonathan Owen has been promoted to the new position from his role as business sector manager for Tesco at Percy Fox & Co.
Owen, who joined Diageo in 2001, is now responsible for driving growth of branded wine across both the on and off-trades.
John Hearn, commercial director at Percy Fox & Co, said the creation of the new role demonstrates the company’s commitment to taking a customer-focused approach.
“Eighteen months ago, we recognised the need to increase our focus on working together collaboratively with customers in order to deliver the best results for them and for our business,” he said.
