A BRIGADE of up and coming chefs was due to be handed a high-profile platform to show off its skills earlier this month
Students from Motherwell and South Lanarkshire colleges were set to cook for guests at the HIT Scotland dinner at Glasgow’s Radisson Blu Hotel on March 24.
Nearly 400 guests, including top chefs, five-star hotel managers and other leading hospitality and catering figures, were due to attend.
The young chefs were working under the guidance of the Federation of Chefs Scotland.
Their menu featured two dishes from the federation’s award-winning repertoire, and two courses created just for the evening.
“The evening is a wonderful opportunity for talented young chefs to test their skills in front of an expert audience,” said Paul Wilson of Xpress Recruitment, chair of the HIT dinner committee, ahead of the event.
